Hello Warde, I am sure you are as excited about the up coming football season as myself. We had our dog snot ugly disagrements on the new logo, I and the old one of 11 national championships lost the debate. The smile on the dog as it kicked butt was never a problem. You removed what little tradition we had, this the logo with or without the name of the state on it was recognized everywhere.

What I am looking for here is a way for football fans to order jerseys from the co-op with their number of choice. It has been talked to excess on how our fans do not understand even how to dress on game day. Let's make it an easy choice!

Presently the only jersey numbers avaiable are #48 and #99 , nothing aginst either of these two young men who I support, but does this sell shirts? Let us find a way to possibly special order for a month of the year and get our fans walking in with our colors.

I am sure parents would all want a jersey or two along with friends and fans......Yes it may cost a couple more dollars but they are good forever...

Nothing wrong with 48 or 99. Both in the league and poised for great years. UConn hoop 15, 32, 34 still big sellers.

His point is those are the only available numbers.

Your theory is UConn has no input on which numbers are available?

Which numbers? I do not know but I recall reading somewhere, perhaps with the last incarnation of the jersey, that Nike would only be producing 2 or 3 numbers per season. Who has the final say, I am not positive.

Really? We've made it this far down the list of off season complaints?

I swear, if Warde is actually reading and acting on emails like these, the entire athletic department is .

I would have worded my letter differently, but I find it hard to believe we can't get customized name/number UConn football jerseys.

I know it's only a sample size of one, but I looked at Cincinnati's site and they offer them. They are an Adidas school, so maybe that makes a difference.

Not for nothing, but 11 national championships is too low. During the Samoyed Era, we won 15.

I think the issue here would be people customizing jerseys to replicate current student athletes i.e. making a WHITMER #10 jersey. If that is the issue though, they could just make it so you can't do that.

43 was at the Co-op yesterday. But yes more choices would be welcome. One thing I noticed was the way the new logo seemed slapped on a number of items and looked a little awkward. I'm not sure if embroidery or some type of screening would look a lot better than all the patches but it couldn't hurt. I came to the conclusion that this might be a tricky logo to incorporate into some if the merchandise but over time that could be worked on. I ended up getting a blue cap with UCONN on the front with red trimmed font and a small husky logo over the back velcro strap. Conversely my 13 yo daughter went for the large husky on her athletic shorts given the choice of small or large dog.

A real mix of old and new on hand.

The funny we do here to entertain ourselves til the first game,a letter to dear Warde who by now broke the delete feature on his computer.

Thank you! My point exactly....I realize I should have not thrown the logo rant in but it still pisses me off.

I frequent the parents tailgate area, why is it only two sets of parents get to wear their sons official jersey? With 100 players on the roster would we not be decorating the stadium with the school colors a bit more with the option of getting a shirt with your sons, brothers, nephew, grandsons or friends number on it?

I have a good friends son on the field and it frustrates me. Sorry about my spelling and grammer the so called fans want to critize. I just want our product to grow, always have and always will.

Don't feel bad. I'm still pissed about the wolf logo too. I'll never buy one. I guess I will just have to settle for apparell that says UCONN without the logo. Although I'm sure there will be "legacy" items at a higher price available.
