In our concern over the general state of things and the impending sodomization of the entire UConn Football program on national television beginning at 8pm on Saturday, we need to take a quick break and collectively reach out to our opponents. We really need to give major props to the University of Michigan for even coming to our cozy little concrete pile. They could have easily bought out this game - very very easily my friends. Or, they could have strong-armed us into going to an local NFL stadium. HOWEVER, the University of Michigan is an honorable school who honors their commitments, and as a reward they will get to showcase their talent to their northeastern alumni (and national television audience) against our squad at our little stadium. So I tip my hat to them.

Never thought l would see "sodomization" on this board. For obvious reasons.

Tip hat? No, they are simply honoring a contract?

Yes, we should thank Michigan for agreeing to come all this way to face f--- our football program on national television.

They could have bought their way out of this, but they're good to their word and they will come as promised to violate us repeatedly. A lesser program might have just sent us a check and scheduled a patsy to a home game, but on Saturday night, Michigan will be balls-deep in both our respect and our failing hopes and dreams.

Think they'll call us in the morning?

Honestly ...

There's too much prostrating to the z Michigans, Alabamas & Notre Dames. I want to thank North Dakota State ... and others. ... For showing that they put their football pants on just like the Bigtimers. All Hail the Bison.

The fact that we're getting less than $2m & a Wake will get over $20m just wants me to take the barricades.

I agree. It kills me that our athletic department is giving better care and feeding to Michigan fans than they do to UConn fans.

I see it differently. The investment in the gameday experience is starting to show. Each game for the last 4-5 games something has been upgraded. Whether this is because of M or just Warde doing what we all wanted, I don't know.

We were neglected for so long under Hathaway that mere competance feels good.

Fair point but a large ship doesn't turn on a dime. The stadium is the only thing moving in a positive direction. So eyez clingz to its for dere life.

Cliche, but it's just lipstick on a pig.

The production values of the games have increased greatly in the past year. It's the production itself that sucks.

As long as this theoretical lip stick is the dog pound dj having a muzzle put on him, it's at least a step in the right direction.

instead of having to gauge my eyes and ears out at the rent, it's just my eyes.
