So, checking back on something the announcers said last night, the NCAA record book for most consecutive conference wins (not counting conference tourneys) lists 124 by Texas from 1981-1990. Having been undefeated throughout the American and now back in the BE, we have 136 consecutive conference wins. Texas also holds the record for most conference wins - both regular season and tournaments - at 143. We now have 157. We haven't lost a conference game in 8 years. Congrats again.

In order to accumulate a record like this, two things are necessary. Great strength and extreme weakness. It is both an impressive record and a sad embarrassment.
