When Zoroaster tunes into a game, and he doesn't tune in often, he is money. Vegas thinks the guy is automatic.

You never know. God might decide that one side winning is better for reasons we can't comprehend. The idea that God doesn't care seems as ridiculous as the idea that he does. That's what makes God the shiz.

God forsook our offense last year. Or He smote it.

If it rains frogs at a game next year, I hope our administration will understand the divine intent and make the appropriate changes.

Lunacy. I guess that means you can blame God if you lose. " Sorry Coach, I kicked it straight but God sent it wide".

They both sound ridiculous.

In Willimantic they would just build a bridge.

Hopefully in East Hartford the wind dies to a calm... the scoreboard reminds us to follow Coach P on twitter... the mothership hovers overhead and beams the staff back onboard.

It's the same one-in-four that denies Global Warming, isn't sure if Hawaii is a state, thinks women can prevent themselves from getting pregnant during a rape, and are still hoping to find those WMD's while waiting for trickle-down to work. Oh, and they plan to win the lottery so we'd better end the inheritance tax. And for reasons we can comprehend (too many liberals or gays) he sends tidal waves over certain towns and mass shooters to others.

More than one-third (36%) of Americans who live in the South agree that God plays a role in determining which team wins a sporting event, compared to nearly 3-in-10 (28%) Americans who live in the Midwest, 1-in-5 (20%) Americans who live in the Northeast, and 15% of Americans who live in the West.

What a surprise. Jerry Falwell lives!

Ray Lewis' post-NFL career...

This is a discusting post and no business here. One can only hope the poster is ignorant of what CT is going through with gun violence at this time.
Butch , this is as ugly as it gets, I pray to God that recruits do not think the rest of us think like you.
I do not pray to God for Uconn to win games but I do pray and believe. You may or not have been old enough to attend the game paying tribute to Jazz Howard. Having said that if you were there you would have seen a sky that was raining / misting all day open up for a few moments as the band played on the field. You actualy saw the sun shine through for the duration of the song.
It was goose bump freaky, this witnessed by all in attendence. That and holding up our #6 signs.........

Um, I am not into guns or violence. I was making a mockery of Ray Lewis. Man, are you stupid.

There was a stand up comic a while back who used this in his act. Something to the effect of, "Hell yeah we would have won. Until God made me fumble."

I don't see it as that crazy. I'm not a theist, but it seems to me that if God is omnipotent, then clearly everything is part of the plan, including football wins.

Then again, most belief systems all seem equally crazy to me, so I'm probably the wrong guy to ask.

A really strange topic for this board, but things are slow, I guess. If you are going to discuss, praise or insult religion, at least do it with correct information. Zoroaster is not a God. He was a teacher, like the Buddha, or Jesus, in Islam or Judaism. The god is Ahura Mazda. Facts, facts, facts.

Point of clarification...Jesus is both God and a teacher.
