As some know, I do spreadsheets at the beginning of the year.

I noted that there are only 9 new coaches in the Power 5 plus Big East - 3 of them in the Big East, and none in the PAC or SEC.

This is the same number as men's basketball (only in the Power 5) and Women's Volleyball (only in the Power 5), as I don't check other sports in the Big East. There are 11 new football coaches and 5 new softball coaches this season in the Power 5, as well.

Incidentally, I noticed that while there are 10 schools that don't offer softball in the Power 5, there are only 2 that don't do women's volleyball - Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt, though Vandy has hired a coach and is going to get a program together.

On a separate note, there are 10 coaches in the 6 conferences that have over 600 wins - Geno and Tara over 1000, Bluder and Wes Moore over 800, Joe McKeown, Bill Fennely and Doug Bruno over 700 and Brenda, Kim and Jeff Mittie in the 600's. Dawn is one of a select few approaching 600.
