Omni Elite Classic

DeBerry takes her fourth shot, all jumpers, and still is ofer.

Ducharme tries her luck again driving against Patterson, this time spinning in the process, and Patterson disrupts the shot entirely.

Then Patterson hits a 12 foot jumper.

Paris makes another three.

Patterson travels trying to get to the rim but she's being aggressive. Can't say the same for DeBerry.

Ducharme once again tries to take Patterson off the dribble and Patterson forces a travel.

DeBerry 0-5 from the field.

Patterson gets another offensive board and gets fouled, but missed both FT's. Now 2-6 from the line.

Amari finally connects, a George Gervin flip shot.

Caroline Ducharme misses a three badly. Then Patterson dives on the floor for a loose ball rebound.

Terrific move by Ducharme but she can't finish.

Azzi misses from three but hits a little one-handed jumper again from about 6 feet.

.-.
Ducharme drives to the basket and scores to begin the 4th.

Fudd misses from three.

Ducharme gets called for a foul on what looked like a clean block.

Caroline Ducharme misses from three. She's had a rough night from the field.

Now Ducharme gets a block. She hits two free throws a short time later.

Tim Fudd is one of the coaches. I was wondering why Azzi was playing so much.....

Fudd hits a shot off glass from about 8 feet after a missed Ducharme jumper.

Patterson continues to beat everyone down the floor, pass just gets intercepted.

Azzi with a good pass on a 3-on-1 for a layup. Then Patterson skies for another O-Rebound and putback.

The Fudds win 74-57. Even down 17 in the dying seconds Patterson is defending hard and shutting down a drive attempt by a guard along the baseline.

What can be taken from one exhibition game? Can't draw a ton of conclusions, but if Patterson isn't the #1 player in her class by next season there ought to be an investigation.
Typical all star game. Players who are used to dominating, now have to contend with players of equal ability. So, you basically get a stalemate. How long has it been since these girls have played a competitive game?

Also thought Aaliyah Del Rosario looked out of her league. Now, she's 1-2 years younger than most of the others there so that plays a big part, but she was way to slow and inexperienced for that group of players.

thank you so much for recording the game! it was a good way to sample the future huskies in action. much better than highlight videos.

Paulina Paris took home MVP and deservedly so. Best player on the floor today. Azzi was all around good and shows strong fundamentals but was not spectacular. Ayanna is a handful especially on defense but DeBerry and Ducharme did not have their best stuff in general.

Just thinking what Paige would look like in a game like this as a HS senior.

A Fast action game. Looking forward to see Amari DeBerry in action during a game plan
that focuses on her strengths. I hope she is chosen for the U 19 squad!!
I agree with the comments about Ayanna P. I saw BLOCKS, Rebounds,
Energy, and quickness while covering the White team GUARDS!!
Azzi was a complete player/teammate. She did a very commendable job sharing the ball,
especially passes to Caroline.
Very impressed by Caroline. She had the most overall complete game, in my
opinion ( despite some missed shots) : Rebounds, Blocks, Passes, Drives to
the basket, setting screens, getting back on defense, and sharing the ball. What is
not to like!
Is there any resource for a box score?
also, what number was Pauline Paris wearing? I would guess #23 but there
was a group of very, very quick and good guards.
Let the season begin!! Looking forward to December vs Louisville and
the November games in P. R.

Fudd was #23. Paris was #15.

Good game. Azzi clearly showed why she is a top prospect, so efficient on offence. Caroline showed a good arsenal of ways she can score. Amari looks big and sturdy with some pretty post moves. Ayanna is stronger than I expected, looks like a dominant defender and rebounder.
