Omni Elite Classic | The Boneyard

Omni Elite Classic

Wonder if any extremely dedicated Boneyard recruit lovers might be on the scene here for some
sideline/in-person wisdom?

In my opinion the "Tri-State" thing @Jibariqua asked may have been in jest, if not I read it the same as he/she did. The OP's article by Jonathan Givony suggested this Omni Elite Classic was "an all-star showcase for top high school prospects from the NY tri-state area". To my knowledge Azzi Fudd as well as other invitees are not from the Tri-State area...hence the question, "Exactly how many states are in the Tri-State area?"

The website lists Amari Deberry but says she is injured. Did this happen at the tryouts?

The Omni Classic is tonight at 6 PM Eastern supposedly, and livestreamed on Slam's Facebook page.

Tri state: Gas, Liquid, Solid

Any players listed fit into one of those categories.

The boys are warming up for their game with the steam live but at a different site. I think we were duped.

Although it might be easier for the liquid kids to get into the flow of the game.
And the gaseous ones could easily turn on the burners. ;)

So you can't imbed the game. Click on "Watch on Facebook" below and it'll take you to it.

DeBerry missed a jumper and a three early on. Shots looked decent though. Fudd mid-range jumper the first basket of the game. Patterson was guarding Caroline Ducharme who airballed a three. Patterson is an amazing athlete if that wasn't already understood, but you have to see her play.

Ducharme essentially playing wing in the starting lineup with Fudd and former UConn target Paulina Paris in the backcourt.

As you might expect, this is a bit of a discombobulated mess. Ducharme is incredibly mobile as I noticed during her games earlier this year. More athletic and mobile than Ann Strother, to throw a name out of a hat.....

Thank you. Please continue.

Azzi's three goes in and out and then sticks on the top of the hoop support.

Jeez, CD better be glad she's Patterson's teammate in the future. Patterson with a big block on a Ducharme drive to the basket. Patterson's lateral movement is excellent.

Azzi hits a one-handed jumper. Then hits a three two posessions later.

Patterson 2-4 from the line so far, Ducharme 1-2.

Patterson's all over the floor, can do so many things. Fudd and Ducharme both miss threes.

Also, former UConn POI Paulina Paris is going to be good.

Paris' shot is about as smooth as Azzi's. And she has handles and an attacking mentality.

Fudd's trying to play defense but she's been beat badly twice off the dribble by quick guards.

On the other hand she responds with a three which she's quite good at.
