Usually if you go to a catholic high school you have got to be pretty smart...usually
This is definitely not the case. I do a lot of work with kids at parochial schools, and they're generally no better off academically than the local public school, and are often worse off in wealthy towns. Secular prep schools (Choate, Loomis, Collegiate, Phillips) are the ones where you generally see elite academics.
