Saw this nugget in the UConn notebook in the Courant.

UConn was 5-2 in OT last year and the Memphis game was the first OT game this year.

Being 6-2 in OT is indicative of good in-game coaching.

By the time the game has reached OT the coach has seen the entire game. He has to adjust and manage the rotation since foul trouble and match ups and possibly injuries are forcing changes. The coach has gotten a feel for how the refs are calling the game and how to adjust accordingly. Each possession's importance is amplified and X's and O's strategy is highlighted.

Summing it up, having a high winning percentage shows that the coach knows how to be a coach.

We really seem to have hit the jackpot with the Ollie hire. Whoever got the job after Calhoun was going to have some tough shoes to fill, but his success coupled with the fact that he is an alum is making this a smoother transition than could have been anticipated

In other news, thank goodness we didn't hire Pat Knight got fired again.

Also mentioned in that notebook is that UConn has it's 4th 20-win season in a row. Moot point, but if not for the 2006 and 2010 seasons, that would be 17 in a row.

And I believe we have 24 consecutive winning seasons

Not sure at all that you can give that credit to Ollie. Our recent OT successes rest on the shoulders of Mr. Napier. If you extend the sample to 3 seasons, the constant is Bazz as the lead guard, and the record improves to 9 & 2.
