why was Olander in down the stretch? Why didn't Roscoe get those key minutes like he did in the previous matchup? Roscoe did well against the zone and would have certainly been a better match up for Sutherland. I also wouldn't have thought that AO would never see the floor again after his 4th foul.

a major reason why we lost was stagnet offense down the stretch and i think having Olander in there was a mistake.

Roscoe was throwing up an 0-fer, aside from his 1-4 FT shooting that is.

I'm definitely in the court of sticking with your guns, even if cold and Olander in there down the stretch was baffling. The kid is so limited. Even if they don't win, I want to lose with the best players on the floor when it counts.

Olander made a bad turnover, let Sutherland light him up, and missed a wide open 12 footer that would have cut the lead to 2.

Olander had four assists and had a couple more good passes that didn't result in assists (although his last passing attempt to Drummond was very poor). His shot didn't go enough , but he got good looks, and he had a lot of good reads on kickouts to try to find shooters - he was making the defense react and was a good option to attack the zone today. The 10-footer where he pulled the string was a shot I can live with.

Well, the first Sutherland three was off an offensive rebound scramble and kickout where Olander was out of the play. The second was sort of a drifting/fading three with a late contest, which you'd like to think is a shot you can live with from a guy shooting 30 percent out there. The last jumper in the corner, maybe he helped too far off a hot hand in hindsight.

The turnover was bad, but the missed shot was just a miss. Good look, good decision - if life was fair that would have crawled in for him.

ya i can't really disagree with you too much but IMO i'd rather have Roscoe in there and more importantly have AO in there at around 4 minutes.

We could have put AO in - the tradeoff is that he and AD both have redundant skills and aren't threats at the foul line - so they don't force their bigs to lose their shape.

Roscoe didn't want to take the foul line J and wasn't creating anything in that spot at all when he had a couple chances. I could have seen giving Tyler the hook after his bad bounce pass, though - it showed he was off his earlier rhythm.

On paper Tyler is the guy you want shooting over the center of the zone.

Then there's reality. Heneeds to work on that shot all Summer.
