Yeah, and we should not let him watch SportCenter either. Please. Guy acted like a jerk. he was likely drunk and if the reports are true he's underage. So I suspect that there is some violation of team rules there if Ollie wants to pursue it. And UConn has had continuing issues with guys getting arrested. Ollie needs to take a stand. Wolf is easy. Good luck at the University of Berlin. But I think this is an opportunity for Ollie to show that he is serious about changing the perception of the program. And the best way to do that is to lower the boom on Olander. Yank his scholarship for the first semester. If he stays out of trouble, let him have it back for the Spring. Treat him like a walk-on. No media day stuff. None of the perks that would normally go with a senior. Maybe the next time someone decides to trespass he'll think twice. I get that 20 year olds drink. I get that college kids have always gotten drunk on Spring Break. But this kid went over the line. Is it a serious crime? No, its nothing compared to laptopgate or some of the things Miles was accused of doing. But this is an opportunity for Ollie totake a page fromRudy Giuliani's approach to petty crime in New York City.Coach Ollie has to wait on the formal justice system's decision, but assuming that both TO and EW have formal charges dropped, IMO a reasonable punishment would be (for violation of team rules) suspensions (perhaps 1 game for TO, time served for EW), tight curfews for both (midnight?), strict probation (any further EtOH related incident or trouble with the law means they are off the team), neither is considered for team captain and neither gets to start for the first semester.
