What is PSU doing? If they followed this board they would know not to be taking Canadian kids in the first place.

Nice to get young transfers whom you think can help in a year. Just wish it was a QB instead of an OG.

Coach P said one more was on the way. PSU board said he was close to being on the 2-deep as a RS freshman, but was slowed by a back injury. A year to heal and three years of eligibility. UConn offered him back in the spring of 2010 so Hughes knows what he is getting

Mateas was apparently a late offer/commit as it looks like he didn't sign with PSU until last summer. Also found this...article was small and not worth posting link.

Mateas was a 6-foot-3, 302-pound redshirt freshman from Ottawa. Prior to signing with the Nittany Lions, he played left tackle for the Ottawa Sooners of the Canadian Junior Football League

Found this article...worth reading

Same club Program as John Delahunt. (IMHO) We need to keep the Canadian pipeline open.

I never get the criticism of us recruiting Canadians... apparently we can only recruit kids from CT and South Florida... and west coast QBs.

Oh and my other favorite... Jordan Todman isn't a local recruit because he lives in Mass.

There's certainly going to be some position battles along the interior line next spring and summer. Hopefully he adds more good depth.
