Oklahoma Scouting Report

The real fun fact is the March Madness brain trust, picked Oklahoma over UConn. I don’t know if it’s ignorance, hate, or just plain stupidity.
If I wasn't an UConn homer, I would pick OU too. NCAA's is normally a guard oriented tourney. And it seems that they have the better guards. But I am, so I have UConn winning it all!! LOL

We can probably mock OU for lots of things, but as somebody who shared a conference with them for three years, attractiveness of their fans is probably not one of those things.

These are football players babes, they most likely never saw an OU basketball game.
But they are easy on the eyes yet I think Mississippi State has a much higher percentage of gorgeous women than any other college, except perhaps Pepperdine.

Jalon Moore isn't a role player, but he'll probably hit 3 corner threes plus a bunch of drives against Karaban.
They have several players that are skilled at driving to the hoop which is a weakness of our defense. We are doomed! Doomed for sure!

Has nothing to do with guards, has everything to do with Big East refs not being there micromanaging the game.

UConn does feel like a trendy pick to go down in this one, the trendiness likely based on the SEC vs a team that has played as flat and inconsistent against expectations as anyone out there this year not named Kansas/Baylor.

If you look at the matchup we should win but we’ve seen that before and lost.
In the first round? When?

Wisconsin and Minnesota if you’re looking for babes.

We got called for way more fouls in the non-conference this year

Our issue is not to lose the game simply by a free throw disparity. Theirs is not to lose the game simply by a rebounding disparity. My guess is that we get much more freedom of movement to run our offense than we got in Big East play and look like a better team than we've been most of the year.

The SEC's metrics are deserved, but they are deserved based of how well its members were playing before Christmas. Christmas was a long time ago. I don't even remember what I gave as gifts to anyone except my wife. Yes, the ACC stunk then and is quickly proving that it stinks just as badly today, but losses already by Texas and Mizzou might be hinting that, while the SEC may very well be the best conference this year, it's not the best conference ever as it looked to be in November. Similarly, the Big East may be better now than it was in November. This is why we play the games.

Do I have confidence in this bunch? Not really. Am I making plans for any of the days when we'd be playing the next six games if we keep winning? Heck no.

C'mon, Oklahoma Eric is part of BY lore.

Also, "Fort the Ead" came from a UConn-OU game.

I was prepared to let that initial post go, but now there are several posts singing their virtues.

This is what I'm going to say: they are blonde.

If how the SEC is doing thus far in even seeded games is an indication, we should be ok tonight.

Since it's game day, it seems like it's time...

Fun fact (scary fact)

Oklahoma has made more FTs (579) then we’ve attempted (578) on the season.
Oklahoma 22-27 on FTs… unbelievable we got out of that one with a win. What a grind.

Nope. OU. Sampson was the coach. I was in the chatroom when the instant classic was uttered.
I thought it was the big comeback, but I was at both games so I’ll take your word for it.
