I know we don't like BC, but this kid is amazing. What a talent. 5th year senior from FL via Wethersfield.

Really? I think you are suffering from grass is greener syndrome.

Murphy:

67/120 761 yds 55.8% 6.34 avg 3 TD 6 INT 6 Sacks 107.4 Rating

Whitmer:

71/128 856 yds 55.5% 6.69 avg 5 TD 3 INT 22 Sacks 119.9 Rating

To be fair you have to include running yards. Tyler is a damn good QB in the system being run at BCU

Murphy's numbers suck but he's still way better than Whitmer.

At least his line is better.

Murphy is playing against much tougher competition, but in Chandler's defense he rarely has time to blink his eyes.

I'm from wethersfield so I do like TM.

Rushing gp att gain loss net avg td lg avg/g
Tyler Murphy 6 86 797 86 711 8.3 8 71 118.5

So with 711 net running yards i think one would say Tyler dusts CW.

You forgot the rushing stats, winning %, and fumbles conceded that were returned for TD's.

So every time BC plays a game, win or lose, can we expect a Tyler Murphy thread? Perhaps somebody should create official BC in-game threads so we can fully discuss every single snap.

I have reached my limit of fawning over in-state kids. There is a reason not many play at the highest level. It shouldn't factor into recruiting at all other than our staff should have the best handle on who is worth bringing in, ranked or not. I'm perfectly willing to look outside the state for QB prospects, in fact that probably should be the M.O. going forward until the next NFL prospect at the position reveals himself. I'd rather get a second tier kid from TX, FL, PA, or GA if we are playing the percentages. These hardway bets are bankrupting us.

Murphy's mobile has me looking forward to when our Tyler (Davis) arrives on campus thus coming Spring... having a QB that can run like that will cause defenses to pkay more honest...

He will be enrolling in January. Hopefully he can forge an early bond with the current WR's on the team during the off-season.

Only watched a bit of the game because it was in my line of sight while at a bar. Loved that drop to blow the game. Otherwise, BCU.

This is why I can't read into HCBD implying TB will be the QB of the future here... Whoever can make plays at the QB positiion for us is the guy... I'm excited about Tyler Davis...

IMO its what every coach would say. If he didn't, you'd lose any confidence and trust in that relationship. At the same time, it's college football. Coaches are constantly recruiting your next replacement.

While those numbers do favor Whitmer, if you have watched the 2 play it is not close. Murphy is much better.

That being said Murphy is nothing special.
