They might just have the best non-conference schedule in the country

If the Buckeyes go 2-2 against South Carolina, Notre Dame, Maryland, and UConn, that would look very good. A 3-1 showing would be phenomenal. At 4-0, they'd be national championship favorites. Of course, 0-4 is at least as possible as 4-0.

Hmm? I thought we were three-time defending National Champions, not two. How did such a glaring error get by the copy editor?

Love the attitude in the opening sentence in the article "To be the best, you have to beat the best." but there is also reality. OSU would be better off working to secure wins agains Virginia, TA&M & Princeton IMO- then work your way up to the big boys. 0-4 could be devastating.

The jury is out on the Ohio State. Last year they looked like a run and gun AAU team. This year they will have more depth - if everyone can stay healthy. They need to play defense, and rebound to become a top ten team. There will be 5 freshman, and if 2 or 3 can contribute they are probably a top 15 team.

I do not think they are ready for UConn, South Carolina, or Notre Dame- I doubt they can stay within 15 points of any of them.

Coach McGuff is trying to build a bully @ tOSU, BTW tOSU Sports Editor UConn is the 3-time defending NC's. Its okay if we lose to them, we've still got CFB. "GO BUCKS"

The scheduling is interesting. OSU will have just played South Carolina days before. So they will certainly have been tested and be a bit more ready to play a team like the Huskies. Considering what has been announced, UConn's opener prior to the OSU game would have to be DePaul or Colgate.

I still think Maryland is the team to beat in the Big 10 even without Lexi Brown although OSU has a lot of talent but they play like a AAU team or pick up game
