#32 from tOSU is just BEGGING to get a T from the refs. They aren't obliging so far, but she definitely has it coming.

Stanford had a couple chances to double up the score, but now tOSU has responded with a bit of a run. 46-32

edited--oops, not quite double, but they missed a 3 that would've made it 48-25

Gonzaga was the only team that was able to hang with Stanford. Gonzaga is a team that doesn't get enough love.

Mighty Cal Baptist gave Stanford all they could handle. It was pretty fluky but Stanford only won by 5.

Stanford got tOSU into an up and down game without their depth.

The teams should set a new record for intercepted passes.

.-.
tOSU had a chance to get within single digits but now Stanford has responded, 56-40 nearing end of Q3

56-42 thru 3Q. Jones and Hull leading scorers w/ 13 each. I think Lexie had 10 in the quarter. Crooms has 11.

Stanford needs some work on handling the press. I like that they attack and try to beat it for a score, but they're giving up way too many turnovers.

Mississippi State also missed a three to tie with a few seconds left?

Haley Jones showing her youth with some careless turnovers in the 3rd quarter.

.-.
35 combined TOs 1 minute into Q4. TOs just drive me nuts.

Learning she needs to tighten up her handle to play at this level. I think that will come!

better late than never I guess

Kierstan Bell had a great game vs. Louisville but has had a nightmare game today. 0 points and 4 turnovers.

Stanford w/ a late flurry stretching the lead out 71-50 inside a minute left.

Stanford with back to back 20 or more turnover games...yikes. Ohio State had 24.

.-.
After two weeks off, I'm not surprised by the turnovers, but I think they'll have to work on that before Tennessee and Texas if they want to continue this nice little streak.

In any case, always nice to get a win over a team that UConn struggled with and Louisville lost to.

Stanford was off a full 2 weeks for finals and then returns with games against Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas.

I hope Stanford got the rust all shaken off because I need them in top form to deal a demoralizing drubbing to the visiting creamsicle pumpkin fillings.

It's worth noting that with Carrington out, our leading scorers, by average, are Lexie Hull, Kiana Williams, and then our four frosh. Yes, 4 of the 6 top scorers are frosh. While we really need more discipline in passing and on offense, I'm not surprised by the turnovers, because we're relying heavily on four frosh to learn and run our Princeton sets while adjusting to the pace and aggressiveness of the college game.

There were a few points tonight when the team on the floor was Kiana Williams and four players who spent the first third of this year playing for high school teams and the past two weeks taking their first college finals of their lives, at one of the top schools in the country no less. Considering that such a lineup of players was nevertheless expanding their lead vs. the team that just took out Louisville, I'll take it.

Yes, that is correct. Cal Baptist also kept it close. Gonzaga game with Stanford had a high number of lead changes, and, went into overtime.
