I didn't see most of it, but either Maryland had a great 3Q or Ohio State had a horrible 3Q. Maryland now up by 2.
MD forcing a boatload of TO on full court pressure

she has 27 points on 12-17 shooting. Ohio State is folding like a cheap lawn chair. Maryland up 9 with 5:00 to go.
The worst part was McGuff called a timeout specifically to address it, and then immediately coming out of the timeout the freshman dribbled directly into the corner trap AGAIN.I'm not sure I've ever seen a team wilt under the full-court press the way Ohio State did. They kept making the same mistakes over and over and over. Lazy passes, dribbling into a double team. . .

I've never seen so many careless, unforced turnovers in a D1 game, ever.
I've never seen so many careless, unforced turnovers in a D1 game, ever. Not by teams that are supposed to be at the level those two teams are.
Northwestern handled the press very well in the Maryland game. Ohio State did what Northwestern did in the first half. Make a lot of three pointers and force Maryland into a half court game. If you do those two things, Maryland will lose, even if Kaila Charles does another Alyssa Thomas impersonation. The careless ones were more from MD. They’re relying on a freshman PG. I think they’d be a much better team with last year’s PG (Lewis?) back, but she’s out with an injury. Notice how much better the team was when the freshman PG was out with cramps? I wonder if Frese noticed?
OSU’s TO’s were not really so much careless as they were created by MD ‘s heavy full court press. If a team can’t handle the press, they wilt, as was in this case. Some teams handle the press very well and use it to their advantage. If you’re capable of breaking the press, it can lead to easy scoring opportunities. I didn’t see the MD game with Northwestern, but my guess is they excelled at handling the press.

This part of their poor half court execution.IMO, Shakira Austin is still not untracked. MD does nothing to "feature" her and she gets her opportunities through the few passes she does receive. Missed too many layups.
A little of bothWho will show up tonight? The good Terps or the bad Terps?
