How to play in lopsided games when you're on top is something most coaches have wrestled with. Finding the balance between deliberately and obviously not trying to score (which can definitely embarrass your opponent) and not running up the score can be tricky. But scoring 108 points in a 32 minute game! Any coach ought to be able to figure out a way to score a lot less than that without doing something that would be embarrassing to your opponent (like repeatedly purposefully turning the ball over).

The coach said he started subbing in JV players shortly into the first quarter. I don't see anything in there that I can fault him for - Even the opposing coach praised the other team. I'm not sure if there is a shot clock, but unless you want your team to dribble the ball around the perimeter for 10 minutes each quarter, there will be some scoring. Just an unfortunate situation for sure.

as I said above slow down the offense and make 5 to 10 passes before you shoot - run your offense and use your last option. On defense play a soft zone.

The real problem is how such a mismatched game ever takes place. They are obviously in the wrong conference.

This happens from time to time when teams are so completely overmatched - and it really is an impossible situation for a coach to deal with. When a team takes 20+ shots and cannot hit one of them what are you supposed to do - starting rebounding for them and scoring in their basket?
And it happens in all sports and in college as well. I am sure Geno would not chose to beat Cinci by 62 points and certainly doesn't 'try' to do it. He subs out starters, and calls off pressure, and stops fast breaks, but it still happens. But he also doesn't want to disrespect the game or his own players or the Cinci players by employing some gimmick to reduce the scoring.

This is just another example of why girls high school basketball has the widest differential in talent and competition between teams. This was not even a conference but a sectional game. It is obvious that this must be a really weak section.

In California we have a running clock when the score gets out of hand. But then we also have a 30 second shot clock so the only way to stall is to turn it over.

This wide differential in talent in girls high school basketball was brought up by me on the Mo'ne thread. A lot of players play on teams who are in conferences that have little to no competition. If you are on one of those teams it is essential that you play on an AAU team to get any kind of perspective as to how you stack up talent wise. A player could dominate their own conference and have a hard time even making a mediocre team. A player on a very weak team can delude themselves into thinking they are much better than they actually are. That is why it is important to recognize what league a team plays in and the competition they face. The level of girls high school basketball is vastly multi tiered.

Gilmore HS must have a weak football team. That seems to be the problem with conference alignments.
