Looks like the Orange closed the game outscoring GTech 14-13, but now it's 4 straight losses by 17 or more points.

Clearly, they were out to send YES a strong message for not televising their game. Expect the network to take a ratings beating on the 11pm replay.

There’s got to be at least one guy sitting somewhere up in the frozen tundra, who has avoided all media, and took tomorrow off so he could tune in at 11, and watch the game “plausibly live.”

poor bastard.

It’s really hard to get past how funny this all is, but it’s also really sad.

Syracuse was a consistent MBB powerhouse for a long time, and now they’re below rock bottom because their HC is a horrible guy pushing 80 years old who refuses to change anything about his approach to coaching.

It’s a lot easier to destroy a legacy than it is to build one. It took Boeheim decades to build Syracuse’s legacy, and it’s been destroyed in just a few years.

They really have to get him out of there. He’s burned the Syracuse brand to the ground

I’m really not sure what’s worse (and by that i mean most awesome), losing by 20 to a 12-17 Georgia Tech team at home while they hang nearly a hundred after averaging 68.6 pts on the season which included a 9 game losing streak (with losses to 9-21 FSU, and 10-19 ND) , being thrown off of yes network, or losing to Bryant at home…..

…. this really can’t get much better……

….. right ? …..
only thing that would be better is if they keep JB around for one more year..so he can have a real farewell tour

Hush your filthy mouth! JB needs about 5 seasons to turn things around. I hope they extend his contract for 10 years.

Boeheim's ego is massive.

He was the biggest whiner in college basketball for a long time, then he won the national championship with Melo and it seemed to mellow him a bit. He was actually a good listen in interviews and came across as somewhat likable. As he aged it came full circle and not only did he go back to being an insufferable whiner he came across as a giant a hole. When he wasn't throwing his own players under the bus, he was trying to tell other coaches how to coach their team and how kids at other programs should behave. Now he's flat out calling out other programs to the media.

He was a damn good coach but he always thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and that arrogance has kept him at his school far too long while tainting his legacy some.

Calhoun, Roy, and K all knew when it was time and they are all on an entirely different level than Boeheim.

Someone needs to continually whisper in his ear "the only way you'll be viewed as a true peer to the HOF coaches of your era is by winning a second title. Even if it takes another 15 years you need to chase title.".

Id like to see them make the ACC tournament finals, and then lose on a buzzer beater, That way you get the illusion that he can still coach, without the automatic tournament bid. That should lock him in for 5 more years.
Yes …but I’d be ok with an ACc tourney title and winning a tournament game to remove any doubt of his return.
