I appreciate your response but after this board took fire today I personally spoke to the NCAA regulator head and was told that under no circumstance could a coach signed letter offering be retracted for 20 days. You can call them tomorrow if you want. You will need to get past the thirty minutes of hold time. It says on the document but with all the new love here I wanted to be sure.

You mean it has to be signed by the University first these days? Holy crap. Well, I'm pretty sure that once it's signed, there's also an addtional period of time that you can back out too, or maybe that's not the case anymore, it was. Maybe this is the new look, NCAA changes and adds rules more often than women change cloths. Maybe there's no cold feet period anymore after signing, but the school can't take the money off the table if you don't sign for at least 20 days.

Look man, turn off your computer and go to bed, and holy mackerel, wherever, however, the kid ends up playing ball in college, stay off the fan message boards.

ok, im willing to make a unreal deal here. this requires all poster here and mr lagow to read and agree to the deal. if lagow gives us a tweet saying he is staying with uconn and signing friday and then does sign on friday, i on word will post like a normal humn being for a full month here. no rants or crazy stuff. caps, grammar the whole 9 yards. take this bet or leave it. you have until 1am for the tweet and bet to be taken.

No, he was saying that until this afternoon when he woke up. Yes he tweeted on and off. He also had the recruiting channel on. If any of you have had kids sign college commitments you know how big a deal it is and having him lay around all day was torture to me and his mom. If his position on Uconn has changed it was because when he woke up he believed they had gone on without him. Not hard to understand his anger considering how long he had stood with Uconn.
Guys - please leave Mr Lagow alone about his son being sick. I've been discharged from the ER after having kidney stones and two rounds of morphine at home in bed still waiting for the dang thing to pass yet still texting, on twitter, on Facebook, watching TV. Etc. And I'm 34. Richard is 18. Of course he's going to be tweeting.

If he says he's sick just take his word for it and move on.

He also has every right to look around and do what's best for him. And he stated that a few days ago. And it was already clear that this would go beyond signing day.

In the end I hope he winds up at UConn cause we could use his talent and he's been repping for UConn like no other recruit out there.

He's 18. Give him a break.

Good luck Lagows hope you wind up in UConn Country.

HFD....go create your own damn blog where you can whine non-stop and feel important. Maybe Herbst will actually bother to point out exactly which "blog" bothers her.

UConn went on without him because he didn't send in the damn LOI. What is so hard to understand? If he was a yes until this morning, which is what you just said, then why did he not sign the letter and get it in. You know what, we all want the party. We all want to be in the lime light. But he cannon balled his opportunity to go to UConn essentially because he wanted to be able to sign at school in front of friends and family. How can you allow 15 minutes of joy and celebration effect the long term.

UConn had to protect their interests. How could they wait until Friday to possibly find out that RL wasn't coming. Now maybe they are only left with 1 QB. The entire situation is mind boggling.

Either the kid was all UConn this AM and forgone the singing at school and just faxed his shit in. Or he was on the fence this morning and decided to weigh his options.

I don't care what Richard wants to do. It is his life and I understand that he needs to make the best decision for himself. I want him at UConn because I saw how much he really seemed to be all in. But my lord. Can we please keep the story straight!

They dragged me off to the hospital a couple of weeks ago and the last words I remember from my wife was "when can we get started on the taxes?".

Good nite all. MRI tomorrow wish me luck.

I'm beginning to think the entire fan base has been catfished.

this may seem crazy, but on day 1 when he posted here this was the 1st thing i thought about.

So getting back to the recruiting class as a whole; I was just looking at the list and man, there are some very large 18 year olds coming to UConn!!! I like that we have what seems to be three bonafide OL prospects coming in, and I think we have a lot of speed coming in along with that size. A really exciting class this year, and I can't wait to see them play...

You know what made me feel old. Everyone of those kids was born after I played my last HS game. I graduated in 1994. These kids were still swimming you know where Thanksgiving Day 1993. That sh2t really hit me earlier today.

38 minutes still left for mr lagow to take my bet....

Remember to remove any hidden studs or rings before MRI! Good luck...

Seriously, though, you know how much I was hoping we would land Chasz Wright to go along with Schafenacker and Hopkins in our recruiting conversations. I'm really glad that we landed him too. I always feel like three solid OL's every recruiting year will lead to good things, and less than that will lead to "less-than-good" things. Remember the three star product out of Chicago, McKee? High hopes for that kid, and then the disgusting story that led to his getting kicked out. Also, when we lost Joe Akers at center due to the neck injuries and Jimmy Bennett was snake-bitten for the longest time (although I heard today he got approved for the sixth year!). To me, OL health and depth is always the key to a successful team...
