Official Heckle The Hawks Game Thread

I’ve had people tell me this week that we are what our record says we are. But when it comes to these cupcake opponents that we’re struggling with it’s “they’re better than their record”? Can’t have it both ways.

If we come back to win this in another nailbiter, it might be the least impressive 6-2 record in program history, especially with Oregon having been exposed as frauds.

another day, another struggle against a sub 100 mid major. Hopefully they get back to ball movement and not the same stagnant offense, and maybe a little variety with some cuts and offense down low.

It’s 4 on 5. You could see this very obviously on the slomo replay of the play with Larrier getting hit in the nuts. The center’s eyes and body were following Adams who had the ball and couldn’t have been less concerned with DO.

Right when DO came in, I thought, great, here we go. And there we went.

Not having Cobb is killing us right now in so much as DO is getting so many minutes. And I like the kid.

I'll take it though. I'm not proud.

I just said that this team is not a cupcake - I don't care what others have told you - I've seen this team play - BTW - I meant Seton Hall not Nova - I saw Nova play Columbia

So instead of a slow start to the first half, we started reasonably strong but ended slow. I think we should've been more detailed when we asked for them to get off to a fast start.

Don't know who said that about Columbia and Colgate, but they were wrong. When it comes to Monmouth, they are right. This team beats top P5 during the regular season, goes to the NCAAs, and their best player didn't play in 3 losses.

Jalen has played the whole half, need to keep that in mind. Add to that that Monmouth guard is making them work.

Seems like a good kid but unconscionable that he’s playing over Carlton. Or even let one of Cobb or Diarra play til they pick up their 3rd foul (just not both). We’re 8 games in, time to winnow down the rotation.
