Dribbling until 15 seconds left is not an offense. Either iso JL and let him work or pass the ball to the first guy coming off of the screens. Bazz refuses to pass to Giff on the first look. How hard is it to MOVE on offense. Decide what to do: either feed the post or get some movement. Perimeter as a last resort just isn't working. We make defense really easy with this offense.
Yes, Boat will help, but he won't change our inability to rebound and rotate. He won't change the decision making of Bazz. He won't all of a sudden give AO and AD post moves. If we don't have an offense, then we at least need to have people moving to have a shot to play garbage ball (i.e garbage buckets). We can't create from the perimeter, so we might as well muddy things up inside. A moving AD might be able to get some garbage points. RS excels at that. So does AO.
Defensively, a game like this makes me miss Hash. Stays in the middle, boxes out the first wave, and someone else cleans up the mess, if any. JA and Hash would at least put in 15 garbage points. Is it just a lack of effort in this department?
