On his resume he has been a key part of successful offenses. Not sure about whole team management and name recognition but prefer him to Moorhead.

Sammis has high aspirations. Succeeding as the UConn HC would be a nice stepping stone on his way up.

I’d be pretty happy rolling the dice on Sammis but I’m not sure he has the chops yet. I was thinking Assoc Head Coach and bring in another builder/teacher to work with him. He’s a talent because we know Mora isn’t an offensive mind.

There have been plenty of “what the hell is he doing” stretches. He’s certainly not the best OC in CFB. But, he’s proven to be pretty darn good and is improving year over year. Next year will be a test when he will have to deal with the loss of a lot of key talent.

He doesn’t have the resume for the HC position at this time. So I agree that he likely won’t still be at UConn, which is unfortunate though because I think he is a good OC.
