Quite frankly, looking awful. I don't see enough of guys competing. I have been lenient with this team due to lack of front court talent, but guys need to show up on these day games.
I read that the new football strength/conditioning coach is heading dept so let's hope he puts some muscle on our front court guys.

It's a pathetic performance all the way around. We've seen a lot of that lately but there will be no coming back against this team, only a disgracefully bad defeat unless they start competing.

Boatright's mantra is apparently "If at first you can't score amongst the trees, try, try again". I like that he's getting into the paint, but he either needs to pull up earlier or kick it out to a hopefully open player. He's not scoring at the rim and hasn't been for a few games.

Also don't seem to have approach against zone. Another thought is that while Miller has his strengths as a coach; he has clearly been a failure when it comes to big man development.

They can't score, they have 1 consistent scorer and seems like DD is in a funk with the rotation. Calhoun can be that other option if he gets his confidence back. I don't see how 30 mins of Omar can't get you at least the same 30 mins of a good Kromah performance, worse case.

This is one time that I don't want to hear about officiating (and I usually hate all officials). When you play this soft and make one bad decision after another, you don't deserve any consideration. We should just be glad that Louisville is doing everything in their power to actually leave the door open somewhat.

Wow. Love Omar ... but you are out of your mind. Have you watched Kromah play at all this year?

No, a cardboard cut out would have as much chance of making a play right now. It's going to be next year for Omar if at all.

I recall commenting a long time ago as the staff came together that it was too guard heavy. I'm fairly certain Miller was a guard in college as well. That's not to say he or anyone else can't teach big man skills, but I would feel better if it came from a big, someone who's been in the trenches. I had hopes that Freeman could help them rebound better but was informed that his position limits his hands on contact.

4 out of the last 5 posts beginning with "quite frankly?" This is getting out of hand.

Jake could toughen them up if suits don't have guts to bring Clyde back.

Good news is.... at least we're not down by 30 points!
Passing is horrible.
Ball handling is horrible.
Shooting is horrible.
Fouling is horrible.
LVille is just making us look bad all around.

I don't think UConn is playing that soft - they had the whistle blown against them 13 times. Brida had a foul called on him when he blocked Harrell's shot. Olander had a foul when he went for the steal.

I'm fine with those fouls being called, but then you have to call it tight on Louisville (which it's not).

Conversely, I'm fine letting Louisville play, but the you have to let UConn play too.

I always loved Jake's straight up and down defense. Always made the other players go over him. That's something that certainly would help Brimah with his length.

DD has been effective a few times getting in the lane and hitting little jumpers. That is his game and this zone begs for it. Gotta keep that up.

Always want the win but if we can make this competitive in the second half, Louisville is a tough matchup for us and individual game matchups in the tourney can make this game meaningless.

I know at this time of year you want to talk your team up but my friend KO may have over reached after last game. Looking toward next year we still need another talented big.

The game is too fast right now for our guys. Hence Giffey on the bench. Good defender but not at this pace. Plus jacked threes at this pace are not high percentage. When double teamed in the press someone is open. D hasn't been awful aside from the front court foul problems. Regroup and get off our heels! Need a renewed effort to start the half!

Quite frankly, people are using quite frankly far too much. Anybody willing to be totally frank?

Not the refs, Omar,or the coaching staff. 'Ville is pretty good AND we match up horribly against them. But I'm sure we will find the culprit and shoot him.

I think they are playing badly but not soft. Quite franklly.

I do agree we are unbelievably soft. But that doesn't mean when you get
Clobbered, its not a foul. Whether you go up soft or hard, if you get hacked, it's
A foul
