Obi Melinfonwu takes over

"Melinfonwu looks like a linebacker. At 6-4, with broad shoulders and a frame that is listed at 208-pounds but appears much larger. On the field, it’s hard to miss Melinfonwu at the safety position. The South Grafton, Mass. native was called by head coach Paul Pasqualoni as one of the best athletes he’s ever coached. That includes the NFL and watching the long arms and long legs of Melinfonwu play the safety position it is impossible not to be impressed with how fluid he looks. Melinfonwu is big, long, athletic and posses a 41-inch vertical jump."

I like the sound of that.

If he can hit spot up 3s, maybe Coach KO should give him a call. 41 inch vert.....nice physical ability at the safety position.

Brad Van Pelt comes to mind.

The NFL would be way cooler if linebackers still wore numbers like #10.

I just wanna see him nail Diggs from UMd over the middle.

Just once is all it would take...
i don't think anybody is going to catch that guy going across the middle, fast as heck!

Obi on the field in the Spring game stood out like a sore thumb height wise. This will be one of the areas to watch this Thursday. I'm sure the receivers will want to know where he is.

If he's better than Adams that will be impressive. Adams would have been borderline all conference.

It's annoying as hell that Adams got hurt in a practice scuffle.

Had no idea that is how Adams got hurt. Was it with one particular player or just one of those stupid offense vs defense scrums?

Pretty sure I read it here from someone at open practice and it was a long exchange well after the play.

The post had the offensive player who tossed him but I'm blanking.

It was reported that AA was locked up with Geremy Davis during a blocking drill and neither player would disengage after the drill, kept tussling and Adams fell hard to the ground injuring shoulder. Boys will be boys unfortunately.

Unreal. Bet Davis feels like crap and there was no intent to injure, but Whaler is right. Frustrating to know that is how he got hurt.

Anyone else remember Van Pelt knocking out Bobby Humphrey's mouthpiece on a 4th and 1 at the goal line in Mile High? Humphrey tried to go over the top and Van Pelt met him in mid air ... kind of like Lloyd on Armando Allen ... 1989?
