Yikes! Jim Calhoun annually has a charity game [prevent heart disease] in the summer....he always
gets a great number of UConn [male] stars to return. Well...this summer...Friday August 12.....there
will be some former UConn women greats on the court as well.....a first for this event.
The JI reports that among those who have promised to play: Nykesha Sales and Svetlana Abrosimova.
No other names mentioned but apparently there are more to come.
The article says there will be 2 quarters of play...with a coed halftime skills contest.
Not many details...they are probably working out how it will be conducted.
Great cause.....and a chance to see up close some of our favorites....of course many of those favorites
will be kicking rear end in Rio at that time. The WNBA will be in its' Olympic break...maybe some UConn players not in Rio will make it. Tiffany....KML...Kiah...Swin....and on and on?
