OT: NYC DMV on black friday ?

I need to renew/upgrade my drivers license and was thinking of stopping by before they open, in the morning on Friday. My thoughts were that it may not be as crowded due to people doing black friday shopping, working, or relaxing after Thanksgiving. Any thoughts? Might it be crowded ?

I went last year to renew on black friday. I got there early before it opened. There was a line. There's always a line. But once inside, it moved quickly.

Pretty sure you can make an appointment online beforehand at a lot of the DMVs in the city. I only did it once maybe 5 years ago but it was great. Come in, see your time, do your thing and gtf0.

I live in nyc I usually go at like 10:30 ish no line and it moves fast.
