The article pains a very incomplete & somewhat misleading picture of the sneaker market for WNBA players. For starters Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne also have thier own shoes.

With Stewie's Nike deal she is wearing the same Nike shoes she wore at UCONN in the Storm color scheme-so technically those are Stewie's shoes because no one else is wearing them & the same can be said for Moriah Jefferson Adidas shoes. There are several players who have "modified' versions of shoes endorsed by men. For example Diana Taurasi wears a women's version of Lebrons, Simone Augustus wears a modified version of Kyrie Irving shoe and Ephinay Prince wears a modified version of Kobes. All of these players are cashing an endorsement check form the sneaker companies and even Kelsey Plum signed a endorsement agreement with Nike last year.
" The WNBA’s current apparel deal with Adidas provides makes the WNBA sneaker market interesting. If players does not have a sneaker contract with a specific brand, they must wear Adidas sneakers on court or be forced to cover up the logos with tape or a marker.'

The sneakerheads I know don't consider a Players Edition the same as having their "own" sneaker though, which is the line I think this article is drawing too.
