Very few teams should be out rebounding Drummond and ao. I think they fix it starting tomorrow.

I mean, the lack thereof is jawdropping - and this has been somewhat consistent as of late. When you have a couple of hosses like AO/Drummond down low and guys that play big for their position like Roscoe and Jeremy at their respective positions, to get outrebounded 40-24 by a relatively small team like WV is crazy. Alex and AD just cannot have 9 rebounds combined when they played 68 out of 80 minutes.

If you go back ten games to the Louisville game, they've been outrebounded in each and every game aside from the two Depaul games. Depaul, my friends, is horrendous. That is startling, in particular for a team that rebounded really well last year.

Watching some of the replays on this game - thing about a good rebounding big man is that they feel like a magnet/vacuum when the ball is near them. AD is that, but he's just never in good position. With AO, the ball seems to skip off him.

There is no reason to think it changes tomorrow, is Drummond just going to decide to start boxing out?

I just can't figure out how we're in March now and both AO and AD turn and watch the ball come off the rim and forget to put a body one their man, more times than not. I hope the whole team commits to boxing out, but what exactly is going to make them change this bad habit tomorrow?

Agreed. I doubt we see significant improvement. Boxing out needs to be an ingrained habit that doesn't come up overnight.

If you could combine AO positioning with AD athleticism and hands we'd be in business.

I think the coaching staff needs to make a point to the the back court to box out and crash the boards. Last year Kemba got his share of boards and we really need Bazz and Boat to mix it up on the defensive glass more.

I wish JC had more time with this team earlier this year. I would have taken AD out every time he lost a rebound because he didn't box out in Dec/January.

The good thing is that uconn won't face another Kevin Jones in the BET.

I though JL was fantastic at rebounding yesterday, especially in the 2nd half. He grabbed the last two rebounds in OT with under 1:30 to go also.

Hard to fix that as someone stated below....it is painful for me to see Andre in position in front of Kevin Jones but he makes no contact with Jones body and Jones beats him to the rebound and scores.....awful......it really is about putting in the extra effort to want something, that simple. I thought Alex tried at times yesterday but he doesn't snticipate the ball and his hands aren't good enough to come up with the rebounds......

If they rebound like that today everyone can go back to work at 1pm.............lol

The good news is Syracuse is a mediocre rebounding team, whereas WVU is an excellent rebounding team. We should see an improvement just based on the fact that WVU's effort would be hard to replicate.
