The interview with Phee during the 3rd Qtr of the Nova game should be part of every recruiting visit. Phede makes it clear that coming into the UCONN family is not only good from a BB standpoint but also from an entire life experience. It's hard to believe a top recruit could turn down UCONN, except for personal reasons after watching this interview from a proud, articulate grad of this program, who also happens to be one of the best current WBB professionals.

Excellent post. Some top recruits might turn down UConn because they are overwhelmed. Funny story, many years ago my daughter and I toured the University of Indianapolis. We were met by the dean of students who proudly proclaimed that she knew the name of every student. After we left my daughter said that she couldn't go to a school where the dean of students knew her name. Something like that could turn some recruits off. Some like the bright lights, others don't.

Phee, in my mind, is the best representative of a program that has produced a multitude of fabulous humans. My favorite Husky of all time and it is not close.

i normally don't like in game interviews because they distract from the game. Last night's was lengthy but I let it pass because it was Phee. 😀

Yup, Phee is an excellent rep. I'd also include Renee Montgomery on my personal best of the best list.

I liked how she mentioned the principles that are required to fit in the top program of all time…how she projects back and mentioned how they are best prepared to go to the pros
Like Shade’s mother said….they are taught besides basketball to become well mannered ladies and representatives of UCONN
Great interview

.-.
She's one of my favorite all-time players (I have quite a few, I admit), but I don't want to hear anyone interviewed while play is going on. They're supposed to be announcing the game.

Unfortunately, these days some turn away from UConn for $$$$
