At the half Young and Arike are a combined 38 points. ND 54-47. Not quite what I expected from ND so far.

Reminds me of the game at DePaul 4 years ago when Loyd had 41 or 42 in an OT win.

You'd think you can pound the post against them but they are so active in passing lanes that you risk getting the entry pass stolen.

They just can't stay in front of JY & AO.

DePaul is as good as their three point shooting..............kind of like USF................when they are on they are a threat to beat anybody, when they're not they can lose to anybody............

Not injured as far as I know. Patterson is quicker and a better ballhandler so she was a better fit as the forward of the bench.

I like Vaughn but I wasn't surprised she didn't play much.

Thanks for the stream. I saw two good teams, Depaul seems to be a live or die by the three team and ND seems to be a little rattle by pressure defense. One game does not a season make but I believe both of these teams are going to improve and be really tough come March.

The three pointing shooting was better than ND's, just not good enough to make up for the very deficient rebounding and putting ND at the FT line too much.... and then there's the disparity in the overall shooting.

yes definitely not going to win many games with those shooting percentages...............ND increased the defensive pressure in the second half which is what all winning teams do when the game is still close............

I would be stunned if they didn't meet one or the other. But before that, Gonzaga and the Rutgers/Drake winner. South Carolina and Oregon State would each have to fall to combination of ETSU (0-3) and WKU (0-4), which is VERY unlikely to happen.

Have not seen Oregon State this year but I thought SC was not as advertised in the Clemson game. SC strong point was thought to be in the guards, I was disappointed in the SC guard play. That being said I have emense respect for Dawn Staley, she will get them ready.

As I said in the chat room, bench took a step back. I thought Molly may have built on the last game but was really poor in her minutes. Face it. We are 5+ONO.

Yeah they hung 100+ on the 15th ranked team today and didn't play anywhere close to their best. Meanwhile we struggled to put 80 on an unranked team. That game in South Bend is gonna be interesting to say the least LOL.

In my opinion, Ariike is too hot and cold to be a top-5 player, but many think she is. She's definitely an aggressive offensive player and always willing to shoot.

DePaul showed how to effectively defend ND...................well ND without Mabrey that is...................she is the straw that stirs the drink..............if ONO was up to speed UConn would have a much easier time with Shepard and Turner..............I'm unsure that NC can hold them off without a lot of help on the defensive end........

I think style of play was a factor in why ND scored 101 even though they had so many TOs. DePaul plays a fast paced style, and ND was playing with pretty fast up until the last quarter. I didn't get to watch the Vanderbilt game, so I can't say of they play like DePaul. I think UConn will have a field day against DePaul.
