They were overmatched, but they never stopped coming. Lot of teams let it go from 20 to 30+ against us, but the Huskies kept battling. They’ve got the foundation of another national championship caliber team, and you know Geno will get them there if he gets another player or two. As long as the next class can make up for Dangerfield and give them another star to go with it, could be right back up there as soon as next year.

Honestly, UConn hasn’t gone through a season like this in Lord knows how long. Even in a year that seems unlikely to end in a championship, they fought like champions.

Connecticut is still very good but other programs have improved themselves to the point that they can not just compete with them but beat them.

Having said that, the Husky team is still something like 20-3 this year. Not bad at all.

I was nervous the entire game, even when we were up by 20+.. and that's all tantamount to the caliber and respect I have for the UConn program. Losing like this isn't typical for them.. but they'll be back stronger than ever sooner rather than later.

UCONN will keep truckin’! The season isn’t over. They can’t play any worse than they did in that 1st quarter. I’m sure that they were embarrassed by that non-performance. In the same breath, you have to give S. Carolina props. They’re a beast! Athletic at every every position. Dawn and her staff have done a wonderful job of recruiting top talent. IMO, this is her best team yet.

Appreciate comments from @JstVisiting @GoDawgs4 @SCGamecock @TheGOAT23 and @Gamecockfan77 ...
We, UCONN Fans have come to expect the best...based of course on historical successes... and we are not comfortable with less than a certain level of play and the results that normally come with that. We love the "Team Basketball" UCONN is known for...and we have seen it from to time this season...but the team has gotten bogged down too often...although they have only lost 3 games and those were to the #1, #2, and #3 Teams in the rankings.
We know the team wants to achieve more, and we still support them through it all and want them to achieve all they can. It's now a continued training and confidence building to the Tournament when it really matters.
