We are in troubled waters my friends.
This season has gone from good to great to very bad, and, unfortunately, there is a long way to get to bottom, if we continue in this direction.

I believe there will be a redemption. I just don't know when.

I hate to say this, but it's the elephant in the room, so I'm obliged:

The only thing keeping us from irrelevance has been our national ranking, and we're about to lose that.

This is a topic that needs to be addressed. I felt going into this year that it would have more than a single season's worth of impact on our national perception, including impacts on future recruiting and our ability to garner press, hype, and NCAA Tournament seeding.

If we were a legitimate top-10 team and a Final Four contender, that would be a powerful statement that we're still a major player on the national stage.

As it is, we're stumbling through yet another ho-hum regular season, out of the spotlight, in a declining conference. At what point do we become concerned about the repercussions that a poor season this year has on our standing as a program over the next decade?
