We are a shaky 6-1. Navy is the loss. BYU is the most questionable win but because we had a great shot at that game if we had exhibited better self control, it counts as a win. I don't believe in the Parcell's mantra of you are what your record says you are. Not for a minute.

You know why we're 3-4? Because we're still not a good football team. We're getting there slowly, but it might not happen this year. I'm looking forward to watching the game tonight.

In all seriousness - the coaching staff is responsible for getting us inside the 40 as well as screwing it up once we get there. You can't bifurcate the good from the bad and act like "well if only the good plays count we are great" game...they all count. The coaches have done a lot of good things and a lot of bad things. Great preparation and poor in game decision making are made by the same people. We are the totality of the good / bad / ugly - and we are 3-4 in the only way that matters. Reality.

Sure I can. Players executed lots of plays well. Slow, indecisive, incompetent, play calling, coupled with horrible time management and out of control player actions creating crippling penalties are the cause of losses at Mizzou, BYU and USF.

Right. We are all of that. You think we are only some of that. The GOAL is to keep the good and eliminate the bad. Wishing it so does not make it happen. Because we can do some good things doesn't mean that is what we are.

The team is better than last year. But not good. Good teams don't do the stupid things that cause us to lose games like you highlighted above.
