So, when it asked me my name, I put in my actual name foolishly, not actually noticing that it hadn't asked me for my handle. Does anyone know if I can change my name or if I should create a new account?

You're not the only one who made that mistake. Send a message to temery and let him know what you want your handle to be and he'll fix it.
