Not One Husky Included in the CBS List of the Top 101 D-1 Players in the Nation

It hurts to see #2. He's the kind of player that would have been at UConn if Hurley was coach during his recruitment.

After you get to about 35, the list becomes meaningless with just random players.

Hey, Alpha Diallo is a player.

.-.
It's a crap list that overrates freshmen. There is no doubt in my mind that Gilbert will be top 100. If he was coming in right now as a freshman he'd be top 50. That's how dumb these lists are.

Only 3 AAC total - 2 Memphis (Wiseman and Precious) and 1 Cinci (Cumberland).
Sweet to see Kentucky's 1st player is #20.

UConn never landed the top recruits from south kent, even under calhoun. andray blatch, IT, dorell wright... would be nice if they became a prep powerhouse again for hurley to mine

Myles Powell was a UConn fan growing up and by all accounts, we were his #2.

Sounds right. This is not a star driven team this year, Carlton will be on this list next year, though. Possibly Bouknight, too.

I would think that Gilbert could be on there. He’s talented enough so by year end he’ll get the respect.

The entire list could be meaningless. Especially with Toppin @ 48. Toppin is an absolute beast.

I think Akok would have a good chance too.

Bulletin board material. We have a few guys who could sneak their way in here with hard work and focus, but nobody is there yet.

If you check the rosters for NBA teams you will find that the majority of players drafted were four star in high school. You can verify this be checking with Alathon or any high school scouting service.

We have proven nothing.

I think Rique will be on the end-of-the-season list, but to the outside world he looks to have accomplished nothing to earn him a spot on this one.

Hopefully others will earn their stripes this year too.
