Assuming we win tonight...yeah , yeah, I know what assumptions do........
Does the post size of Texas' Imani McGee Stafford 6'7" and Kelsey Lang 6'5" propose a problem for our front line?
They held Reshanda Gray (Cal) the Pac 12 player of the year to just 7 pts including 5 fouls.

I don't think Texas will be a problem because we have played against taller fronts lines already this season (Duke, So. Carolina) but will Texas' bigs present a problem for Stewie and Tuck defensively ? I think Kiah will match up well against either of them but I am concerned if Tuck who is foul prone against taller players get a couple of quick ones. ... will our superior guard play compensate for any positives their bigs can bring to the table?
thoughts.....

I don't think they would be too much of a problem. We seem to have more problems with quick driving guards.

Did S.Carolina, whose bigger that Texas, present a problem? don't they have a game to win as well before that becomes an issue?

Texas? No, they beat California, they're in the Sweet 16. UCONN will face them, IF UCONN can get past Rutgers tonight.

Our spacing is impeccable so unless they pull a Baylor move like back in the Griner days and have them both just stand in the paint the whole game I doubt it'll matter. Even if they did we have 3pt shooters so someone is gonna have to guard us. If we really wanted to we could go Mo @ PG, Saniya @ SG and Kia @SG and make KML and Stewie play F and C and just all stand at the 3pt line... Bet that line up with both McGee Stafford and Lang in would change real quick.

Really excited to see Breanna & Morgan mix it up with a bigger front! Our perimeter game may make this battle moot, but in the low post it will be about footwork!

Quickness versus height. Mid-range shots should be open. Question: Are the two Texas post players good shot blockers?

Unless Texas plays zone, their 2 bigs are going to have problems on defense, Stewie at 15 feet will drive past either of them. Uconn guards penetrate ,and dish better then anyone else in the country.

Wait a minutes guys. Texas has 10 losses and your worried about their height. We have better height then most teams. How is Texas going to defend us? Im not worried in the least. The top 4 teams are UConn ND Baylor and MD. They dont scare me. UConn will beat Texas handlely

On a per 40 minute basis, the big Texas kid McGee-Stafford averages
4.5 fouls/40 min, compared to 2.4 and 2.8 for Stewie and Tuck, respectively.

I think Texas has to worry more about their big kid fouling out than we do.

I totally agree with Tony C. I was at the regionals and saw Texas in both games. They won by 2 and 3 points. They are not the second coming of Phi Slamma Jamma. No one on their team can cover Stewie. Their big is decent but she stays in the paint. UConn should have a field day beyond the arc. That said I'd be interested to see if Morgan will be able to score inside.
