While watching the second half of the Oklahoma game, I read this thread.
I was logged out, so I could read the entire thread, including comments by whoever Ignores me. By being logged out, I was also disabled from reacting with emojis or replying with comments. It kept me out of trouble and preserved the mojo from any undue disturbance.
Quite a few times, I recalled the title of this thread and knew that I could login later to remind readers of an essential truth: a person who does not lie would have no reason to use the phrase, "Not gonna lie," and more likely than not would be incapable of making good on the claim.
I'm glad that the team did not lose by double digits as was predicted in the afternoon. It's tough to wait for a late starting time, and temptations to speak & behave imprudently can run quite high. But it's more than harmless irony to be critical of other's negative impact in ways that also risk negative impact.
Inaccurate, boastful claims and the corresponding effects of faulty memory compound the potential for harm. May we bring our best insupportable of Sunday's game against Florida.
