Would Tevin Mack be able to get out of his LOI? or even want to get out of it?
 
Almost doubles his salary. But surprised he would turn down UCLA and not Texas.

Can't speak to UCLA but not shocked at all he went for Texas. Austin is sick for his family, and just look at the players RICK BARNES was able to get there. Still blows my mind he didn't have more success with what he has had over the years.

I'd have to think that if Texas has any schollies remaining, Mack would be headed to Austin. Why would sign with VCU if not to play for Smart?
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we end up 3rd or 4th on Macks list? I'm almost positive we weren't second. If thats the case, it will take a strong effort from Ollie and Co. to get him here.

It was UConn, VCU and UGA in the top 3. A lot of reports going down to the wire that it was between UConn and VCU.
 
why couldn't we have texas at home this year....
 
I will believe it when I see it...to say it is a done deal as stated here is a bit presumptuous. The VCU Shaka leaving sagas are analogous to a cat with 9 lives. VCU being the cat. How many times has Shaka been reported out the door only to return to VCU? Yes the odds are around 5/6 he is leaving but there must be some action on him staying put right??? Gotta be around 10/1 he stays. Who is putting money on the 10/1???
 
Yup waiting to see something official. The deal described is a sweet one and nobody could blame him for taking it, but id still be a bit shocked if hee actually leaves vcu.

I am very tempted to put my money on the 10/1 and hold out that he goes to some place like Indiana after Crean gets fired. Assuming he leaves VCU. I may die in the poor house for making this bet. :( If I do...I have faith some great BY poster friend of mine will come bail me out. That's what I love so much about this MB. :)

Ok....Watch this vid :). See the 2 drunk guys trying to put the stump on the back of the bike? Make believe the stump is Tevin Mack and the 2 drunks dudes are Ricky and Miller. We land Mack if the stump goes on the back of the bike. Does it? I didn't watch the last 15 seconds. lol

 
Marshall just got 3.3 M per or something like that and shunned Bama. Shaka is holding up VCU for similar cash. They will prolly fork it over. 69% sure.
 
Yeah. I'm throwing my thread back at the top. Must have offered more than 5/14 mil I heard about. Anyone have the numbers?
 
I saw that in Smart's VCU contract, part oh his buyout is that Texas has to play VCU in a home-and-home series or owe them $250,000. Awesome.

Barnes was only making 2.6 mil, I'm not sure Smart's contract would be worth more than the 2.8ish you quoted.
