Can't speak to UCLA but not shocked at all he went for Texas. Austin is sick for his family, and just look at the players RICK BARNES was able to get there. Still blows my mind he didn't have more success with what he has had over the years.

How many times has Shaka been reported out the door only to return to VCU? Yes the odds are around 5/6 he is leaving but there must be some action on him staying put right??? I am very tempted to put my money on the 10/1 and hold out that he goes to some place like Indiana after Crean gets fired. Assuming he leaves VCU. I may die in the poor house for making this bet. If I do...I have faith some great BY poster friend of mine will come bail me out. That's what I love so much about this MB.

I saw that in Smart's VCU contract, part oh his buyout is that Texas has to play VCU in a home-and-home series or owe them $250,000. Awesome.

Barnes was only making 2.6 mil, I'm not sure Smart's contract would be worth more than the 2.8ish you quoted.
