They were south of the Mason Dixon, and Appalachia is certainly not Northeast.

WV did fight for the north. And technically Appalachia goes all the way to Canada. I don't want to argue about it though.

the Mason Dixon line mattered over 200 years ago. today is a different story. Cal, Stanford, SMU are in the ACC. We can surely include WV in the Northeast. Aw heck we can pull in half the mid-west if we want to!

Yes, there is a section of Ohio that was called the Western reserve. It's disputed, but CT went all the way to the Pacific at one time.

It's (barely) further east than Pittsburgh, further north than Navy & Maryland and as far north as Delaware.

Personally I don't believe any of are really northeast but if you include one you need to include them all.

Western Reserve College, the college of the Connecticut Western Reserve, was founded in 1826 in Hudson, Ohio, as the Western Reserve College and Preparatory School by the Presbyterian Church. It's only like 90 miles from Pittsburgh I think we can classifiy it as the NE.

Maryland, in the SEC South, isn't considered "southern"..nor Delaware...Mason-Dixon line or not.

Miami may be more northeastern than southern.

Agreed, but the point is the place to start the argument that we should be a higher priority on stupid list like this is on the field.

UConn did actually move up 6 spots while cuse was unchanged. The entire middle third of the schools could be interchanged so it's no big deal. Of the 20 schools between cuse and UConn from 49-68, 14 are P4 members. The cream rises to the top quarter

Mizzou and Kentucky? Border states not southern?
