There are many rebounds to be had when both teams are shooting under 30%. Impressive nonetheless.

1st quarter even. 2nd quarter all Wolfpack. 3rd quarter all Blue Devils. 4th quarter ???
 
Something that I wonder about with injuries...twice Lexi was hurt and she acted like they were very serious injuries yet she returned to the game after each. Makes me scratch my head...
 
BTW I know much has been made about our bench, but for Duke, with 4 minutes left in the game, they have gone 9 deep and the bench has scored 2 points, grabbed 9 boards, and made 1 assist. In total. Oh, and they have a combined 7 TO's and 8 fouls.

Megan and Azura do better than that in 1 quarter.

Both teams are shooting sub-30% from the field in this one. Both Texas and Tennessee shot over 35% in their game, making them sharpshooters comparatively.

34 turnovers between Tenn. and Texas with 20 combined steals. 33 turnovers so far here, only 12 credited as steals.
 
Can't believe how long refs take for reviews. Nothing like giving teams extra time outs.
 
Thank god its over. 51 NCS to 45 Blue Devils! Duke goes out in Quater final.

Can't tell me both announcers were not pulling for Duke in this game. Should be interesting post game press for JPM. Start the bus up! :rolleyes:

Come on don't you know that the tournament is being held in the State of North Carolina. One of the largest tobacco growing States in the United States. Why would they make it illegal!!:p

I assume there may be worse stat sheets for games between “noted” programs - but the above detail is almost beyond belief at so many levels. Would love to hear presser - probably a new level of “fake news”.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Chelsea Nelson's 22 rebounds were an ACC Tournament record, topping the 21 rebounds gathered by Clemson's Barbara Kennedy in both the 1981 and 1982 ACC Tournaments.

I had to drive to a work meeting after the first quarter...but found that SiriusXM had the IMG radio brodcast. I just about beat my steering wheel to death everytime I heard "(name a player for NCState) missed the easy layup", which was a lot! I'm just thrilled to have the win. Huge win for NC State! (Sorry, TriadDukeFan...NC State really needed this one).
 
Greenwell 5 of 19! Brown only marginally less bad. Tough.
 
Rough game for Duke. This could be the game that keeps them from hosting. Tough to say, though.
 
When the sum of the two teams’ shooting percentages is only 56, that’s pretty ugly. NC State wins the accuracy contest at 29%. Eek!

That one hadn't occurred to me. I was thinking a combined 32 field goals and 19 assists is less than UConn gets on average.

I saw most of the game, and the defense was good but nothing exceptional. It was just two sputtering offenses.

On a related note, I showed up for work this morning only to find out we were closed due to wind. That would never have occurred to me unless there was rain too (i. e., a hurricane). I put in half a day, then realized this was a great day to be home from work. :cool:
