Miami nails a THREE with 22 seconds left. 48-48 game.

Prior to that was a long review, where the replay appeared to show the ball going off the hands off the Miami player. But officials ruled it went off the knee of NC State's Kayla Jones.

WHEW! NC State survives and wins at Miami for the first time since February 24, 2007. The Wolfpack Women advance to 23-3, 12-3 ACC. Miami falls to 13-13, 5-10 ACC.

NC State shot 34.9% from the floor on 19 of 55 shooting, 4 of 19 from THREE and was 8 of 13 from the FT line. Miami finished the game shooting 29.1% on 16 of 55 from the field, 8 of 25 from THREE and 8 of 12 from the FT line.

Leading scorer, and player of the game no doubt, was Jakia Brown-Turner. The freshman had a career high 18 points on 7 of 11 from the field, including the game winner with 2.9 seconds left. She was 4 of 6 from THREE and grabbed 6 rebounds. Elissa Cunane finished with 15 points, struggling once again from the field but feasting from the FT line. Ace Konig contributed 7 points, and Jada Boyd added 6 very important points late in the game.

For Miami, Destiny Harden paced the Hurricanes, with 15 points and Mykea Gray added 11.

NC State outrebounded Miami 45-33. Kayla Jones grabbed 10 boards, and Elissa Cunane grabbed 7 rebounds. For Miami, the leading rebounder were Brianna Jackson and Destiny Harden, with 7 boards apiece.

This marked Wes Moore's first win against Miami on the road.

Ooh, the type of win that should move NC State back in front of UConn in the AP poll.

This game reminded me of our high school girls' BB team my senior year in high school. They were undefeated and got ranked #1. In their next game, neither they or their opponent could seemingly hit a shot, and our girls grinded out a 28-26 win. Wasn't pretty, but they survived.

A game like this can be good for confidence and character. It was a grinder.

Glad State won..... I want them to be still in the top 10 come Monday Night. It will be great to knock off a top 10 team on the road.

Barely getting by an inferior opponent seemed to work great for Stanford last week.
