Two versions of the same song. I love 'em both: Pity they "Ain't got No Home."

And ofc anything sung by Frank Zappa. does that count?

omg.. they have been playing this to death on Boston radio to celebrate the Celtics finals appearance. needless to say i turn the sound off.
Funny....for decades I drove up to a family vacation home on the North Shore and would tune into the Boston area classic rock station WZLX. This song was their 'welcome to the weekend' anthem that would kick-off at 5:00 sharp on Fridays!

Dan Hicks and The Hot Licks, very interesting performer to say the least. Not an original member but rather quickly replaced the drummer in the original lineup of The Charlatans, an early 60s San Francisco band that some music historians credit as being the band that launched the diverse explosion of music coming out of San Francisco in that era.
He left the band to form The Hot Licks supposedly because he tired of the “rock and roll scene” of the time as it were, apparently tiring of the rampant drug use. Anyway, he formed a unique, talented and very entertaining band.

Two of the finest guitar rockabilly players anywhere, Bill Kirchen and Junior Brown, Hot Rod Lincoln…….the sounds Brown gets out of what he calls his “guit-steel“, his double necked guitar / pedal steel hybrid are amazing
