I'm watching the Tulsa - SMU game, and Tulsa had a touchdown taken away by the strangest call I've ever seen in my life (about 15 minutes ago). The receiver from Tulsa on his way into the endzone started to "high-step" a little, and the referees called the touchdown back due to an unsportsmanlike conduct. It wasn't even that bad. I've never seen anything like that. Hopefully Tulsa doesn't lose due to that call. I can't find a video clip yet of the play, but what a ridiculous call...

EDIT: Found it. 13:09, there's a video for Tulsa. It's about as mild of an unsportsmanlike conduct call as you'll ever see, and it cost them 4 points...

I've seen it before where the refs take back a TD in college for showboating. I really want to say it happened to UConn once, but I can't recall the play.

Regardless SMU is starting to click in the second half.

I know all of us would rather be in the old Big East or P5 but AAC is a quality conference and plenty valid as a measuring stick to see how RE 2.0 is progressing the program.

If you look at the video, he BARELY "half-stepped". I mean, it was a "nothing" moment. To take a TD away for that is just...typical AAC refereeing, unfortunately. I'm hoping Tulsa comes back now.

As for the quality of the football in this conference, it's very good. We mostly complain because there's no money in it, but the football level of play is there...

The brianiacs on the SMU game just stated that USF didn’t have their schedule impacted by the hurricane - they were the only school in Florida who wasn’t.

Um ok.

Correction: it cost them the game. They just lost by 4 points, which is the amount of points stolen by the refs. If I was a Tulsa fan, I would be sick to my stomach...

Earlier in the game, SMU was cheated out of an opportunity to substitute players that led to a Tulsa TD. The calls generally even out.

I'd like to see any player who is caught taunting to be thrown out of the game. But what this player did was not taunting. Not even close.

Wow! BC has really improved. Crushed FSU 35-3. I thought BC was headed to another 0-8 ACC finish. It's going to be another tough go against them, especially in Boston.

On the flip side, we are improving every week as well. Beat Mizzou and the BC game will take on even more meaning.

Taking away a Tulsa TD for that high-step is mind-bogglingly stupid. Was barely a celebration. These players are young adults and get excited when they make a play - go figure. How do you take away a TD from that? These AAC refs are the absolute worst.

The location will not be a factor in the game.

My fiancé watching FSU-BC: “UConn’s playing Florida next week right?”

Good try honey, good game good effort.

What was the result of that call? Touchback SMU?

Penalty yardage counted down from the spot of the "infraction". Tulsa had to eventually settle for a field goal, and ended up losing the game by the same amount of points that were taken away on the play.

You can't make this stuff up...

It pains me to say it...ugh...But BC looked pretty decent yesterday in that 35-3 slaughtering. They aren´t bad anymore. Not good yet, but have potential.

I think last years 30-0 shut out against a bad BC team was the absolute final death knell that led to the firing but this year I would not be shocked by a somewhat similar result.

I know Uconn was worse last year, but hard to imagine anything better than 27-10 or 24-7 for that game. Not really sure the Huskies have a shot in that game. Hope I am wrong.

Miami's quarterback was out for awhile and Shirreffs the younger got in for a bit. Looked pretty jittery, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

One player alone, including a QB, obviously does not make a team. However, the last few years Free Shoes U may not have paid QB recruits willing to compete with injured starter Francois. The twig-thin true frosh playing may be lucky to survive the season without breaking.

Game has turned into a comedy of errors. Miami was up 11 and got a turnover at the UNC 15. Turn it over one play later. UNC scores - doesn't get the 2, then Miami turns it over, commits a late hit.... and UNC turns it back over in Miami territory driving for the win.

Just a mess.

If you think it's just UConn - West Virginia's stadium is empty down 12 with 5 minutes left.
