I like the high level teams on the schedule, but would rather see them play cake-eater teams (i.e. good Mid-majors, or middle or lower-half major conference programs) than cupcakes.I’m fine with the schedule. Playing the cupcakes allows our young guys to get game experience.
I'm okay with 1 or 2 crappy teams to kick off the season, but then serve up some solid OOC programs that challenge the team and reward and entertain the fans that pay to attend these games. I don't see how that philosophy could hurt the team. Granted there's always the chance of getting picked off early in the season by a good team, but when you're UConn you shouldn't let that happen.
