The result is often laughably different from what was whispered by the first person into the second person's ear. Dan Hurley was asked by a reporter to talk about Adama Sanogo's 3-point shooting, and he said, "I'm a little mad..." If I were challenged to close my post with language that would prove my point in the paragraph about "telephone" above by expressing myself similarly, I'd say, "It's absolutely insane that people do this."
