Paige walked off the court in last night's game when she felt some tightness or discomfort in her back, but she checked back in after a few minutes in the locker room. After the game she said that she thinks it will be fine and that it'll be day by day (she's hopeful that she won't need to miss any time).May have missed it. What is the "day by day" injury Paige has?
Major players out:
Napheesa - sprained ankle
Stewie - bone bruise in rt knee
Clark - groin
A'ja- wrist
Reese - back
Sabally - knee
Edwards - wrist
Harris - knee
Vandersloot, Samuelson and Amoore- Season ending ACL
Then there are other "day to day": Atkins, Hayes, Hines-Allen and probably more not reported yet.
For those who have followed the W more closely can someone chime in to describe if the list of injuries is generally the same year to year or is this list longer than usual?
I think this is fairly usual bumps and bruises for any basketball season half way through. It is a physically demanding sport and games and travel are constant - none of the ones above except for the last line sound season ending. For the stars they don't get the 'all-star break' either and are kept busy that week even if the game is entertainment and not competitive.May have missed it. I do recall she laid on the floor for a while and held her back after a very hard hip check while guarding on the perimeter in the last game versus the Fever.Paig

FYI - have you watched the NBA all-star game lately?! When players started getting paid, the 'bonus' all-star check stopped being important in the NFL and NBA, and the games became a few levels below the Globetrotters in terms of entertainment and competition!.That "game" was miserable to watch, but seeing that there was so little downtime, I can understand...
Now all they need to do is put up a warning for the viewers beforehand. "This event will suck. We'll forgive the viewer who switches the channel; please watch programming on ABC's affiliates instead".![]()
