No social media for LVs during season. Thoughts?

funny -- I read that Diamond received a Mercedes as a Christmas present from her brother, and wondered the impact of THAT on team chemistry....

It shouldn't have any impact on the team - it came from her brother and she's a grown woman.

I think it's admirable of Tenn to realize that their program has problems and what better program to look to see how it is done than the #1 WCB program UConn. Perhaps the Tenn staff will take advantage of coach Auriemma's generosity and attend UConn practices to learn from the best.

I love how everyone is an expert on Tennessee and believes they know exactly what's going on.

The social media decision was made by the coaches and blessed by the players. Why? Because people were making contact with the players through social media and being disrespectful (on many levels) and Holly and staff decided to go with a decision to hopefully limit the amount of negativity weighing on the players minds. Lack of discipline? That's laughable. Tennessee's long standing standards of holding players accountable for on and off the court actions is one of the biggest smear tactics used against the program in recruiting. The team has had it's fair share of issues this year yet none of them has denied it and have noted that it is a focus of the coaching staff to continue working on the product on the floor and get them used to respecting and feeling comfortable with each other, regardless of what their friendship is like off the court. This is something that every single program has to deal with from time to time. The most recent championship group at Tennessee largely couldn't stand each other yet Pat got them to understand it did not have to transfer to the game. Holly and staff are fine... save your worries.

I found the players post game press er after the Stetson game to be troubling when both Diamond and Tea referred to Coach Warlick as Holly. You can find the presser at the Lady Vols site. Diamond also made a few comments about the team giving her space to do what she does sounded a little condescending also.

On a different perspective Diamond made a few passes in that game that although did not turn out to be assists the passes were the best I have seen from any player since Diana.[Agreed. Haven't seen this mentioned before but she has made some spectacular passes this year. Impressive.
