No problem

No disrespect meant, because I'm sure you represent a lot of thinking here, but I personally think it's a bit arrogant to say that a team can play its C game and still beat the #4 team in the country by nearly 20. Actually, I hope it's not true. If UConn plays its C game against this opponent, it deserves to lose. Of course, that also assumes that a team comes out playing its A, B, or C game with no influence from the opposition. If UConn plays its C game, it's because Louisville made it play that and then Louisville deserves to win.

I have perused the BY closely this weekend, looking for any comments about tonight's game. Every comment I've read has favored UConn. I have not read a single post that had Louisville winning tonight. Everyone can't be wrong.

After their final tuneup Saturday for tonight's game, UConn looks ready to me. If I were tonight's opponent, I'd be very leary of a team that just put 101 points on the board in three quarters. I look for UConn to come out fast and loose, going on an mini run to put the Cardinals in a hole 3-4 minutes into the game.

This will be UConn's last progress report game of the season. I think this will be a "statement" game tonight. A message to to their fans and the rest of the field that UConn is ready for the tournament against all comers, after a convincing win over a very good (previously) 1 loss #4 Louisville team.

There it is again... stats that we shouldn't get so excited about...101 in 3 qtrs against a team we could have beaten with 4 of our guys...L'ville is not Wichita... relax

I understand where you are coming from but I think it shows what can happen when all 5 players on the court are executing at a high level on both offense and defense. Granted, someone is going to say that not all 5 players were at their best, ie. Kia's 3 point shooting, but she was executing on offense at a high level in other offensive areas...they all were!

Your response to my comment tells me you don't understand the "gist" of it. 101 points in a game means a team had a beyond exceptional shooting day, regardless of the level of competition it was done against. Every basket was NOT a layup or a put-back. Many of them were 10 feet and beyond jumpers. I completely realize and understand the difference (talent & skill level) between the two programs. I didn't become a fan of WCBB last week. I'm very familiar with Jeff Walz and his program, I've been following Louisville for years, and I'm familiar with his program's current ranking and overall competency.

We get excited about stats (good or bad) here after every game, so get use to it. I don't agree that UConn could have won with only 4 players. I realize you're being factious, thus that's not a realistic statement. Nowhere in my comment does it suggest I'm uptight or tense, so no need to relax. I'm extremely confident UConn will win this game by double digits. No doubt another poster will post a comment similar to mine expressing their take on tonight's game, and their confidence in a UConn victory.

That hardly matters. Geno would agree when I say it wouldnt matter who we played that night shots were going down and no one in college basketball can beat a team shooting and functioning the way they did that night. Not Texas, not ND, not Ball State. Wouldnt matter at all.

They played that game without any concern of the name on the front of the opponent's jersey.

I like their chances tonight...

Look at the game realistically, if Florida states defense held Louisville to 49 points on their own court, how many points do you think they will score against the best defense in wcbb at gampel pavilion?

I do not want to get in the middle of this dispute, but I appreciate your use of the word "factious". Great word and seldom used. Very nice, sir.

Agree w bags27, a C game would not pass UCF in my opinion. We need to have at least a B+ and hoping Louisville not playing a A++ game

I am a big UCON fan and expect a win tonight but beating Wichita is nothing to brag about...
